Rev. Chris Stadler
Lead Pastor
Get To Know Me: Pastor Chris Stadler
Pastor, Firestone Wesleyan Church
In addition to being an ordained Wesleyan Minister, Pastor Chris is a husband, father, and grandfather. He is married to his wife Roxanne, and they have two adult children and one grandchild. He considers himself to be fortunate to have a spouse who is gifted with the ability to teach, and she utilizes her gift from time to time to teach small group studies in the churches where they have been a part.
Before becoming the Senior Pastor at Firestone Wesleyan Church, Pastor Chris served on staff at First Wesleyan Church in Bessemer City where he had been a member for many years. On staff, Pastor Chris served as the missions and evangelism pastor before transitioning to pastoral care. His lay experiences were teaching, administration as a board member, and singing in the choir, to name a few.
After graduating from The Citadel, Pastor Chris took an Army Reserve commission and went into full-time law enforcement with the Gaston County Police Department, where he served in various supervisory roles for many years. He would later become a Gaston County magistrate conducting a wide variety of criminal and civil proceedings, as well as performing weddings.
Pastor Chris’s ministerial training has been largely through Oklahoma Wesleyan University, with some graduate work through Liberty University. He has had a passionate interest in history since childhood and combined with his experiences in the legal realm, it is little wonder that he has such a deep interest in Christian Apologetics and evangelism.
Pastor Chris states: “I cannot recall a time in my life where I have sensed the hand of God mightier than when I answered the call to come to Firestone Wesleyan Church. It is indeed humbling and a privilege to serve along such devoted people. I praise God for the opportunity to serve Christ in this place. He is Lord of all.”
